We are having a string of great weather here, which also extended into our trip to Edinburgh this past week-end. It was much nicer there at the end of October than when I had visited in May. We set our clocks back this week-end, so we even had a little extra time there. It is difficult, though, to already have it dark by 5:00. There were a few 'trick or treaters' going round the neighborhood when we returned ('Sweets please!' is apparently the phrase here) but I think Halloween is more an excuse for private dress-up parties - in Edinburgh we saw many adults running around in costume all weekend long, including several at our hotel who were still in their costumes when someone pulled the fire alarm at 2 a.m. and we all had to exit the building.
Will post picture and information about our time in Edinburgh soon, but right now I need to get ready for class.
